Students will create a 10 page picture book using AR verbs used in class

After reading plays students write their own one-act with a character page, scenes, stage directions, etc. In addition, students will assign casting roles and use proper paragraph developement to elaborate actor/actress choice with prior actor's roles as support for claim.

Supplemented and supported by workshop activities, students write their own short one-acts using another work of art as inspiration and incorporating elements of that work into the one-act.

Create a comic strip about one of Roque's adventures OR create a fanciful comic strip about one of your weekends. You must include QUEHACERES, IR + A + INFINITIVE to say what the characters are going to do, 1 expression with TENER, AND PODER to say what they are able to do.

Chose 5 Expressions with TENER and create an idiom dictionary, including a picture, its definition, and a sentence using the idiom correctly. OJO - this sentence must include MORE than just the idiom and TENER conjugated. Example: Tengo frio porque no tengo calcitines (I am cold b/c I don't have socks). The dictionary must include either TENER QUE or TENER GANAS DE or BOTH! This book is entirely your creation. You MUST draw your own pictures and USE color. SEE RUBRIC for more details.

Students must compose a 5 line poem about something or someone. They must then illustrate the 3 present progressive verbs used in the poem

Understanding the difference between the two verbs, "to be", in Spanish: Ser and Estar

The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. Students will receive a 'International Travel Packety' packet to complete. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minimum for 8-10 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their assigned country. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research in order to be able to answer questions about their assigned country’s resources, culture, government, religion, geography, political atmosphere, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a report about their country and then create a power point presentation to go with their report.

You are to create an AR verb book. Your book must have a cover page with a title and your name. Each page will have a different sentence using a different AR verb and subject for a total of 6 different verbs and verb conjugations. See rubric for grading details.
