The students will use the Internet to research current issues effecting the world (i.e. gas prices, education, taxes, war, etc.). Each student will obtain 5 facts and add 3 of their personal opinions regarding the selected topics. Using Images from the Internet, MS Word and Wordart, the student will create a flyer(s) related to the selected issue. They will copy and paste 2 pictures and use bullets to label their facts/opinions. The flyers will be printed and submitted for a grade.

Find a Current (no more than one year old) Health-related article on the internet from a reliable source (.org, .gov, .edu,) or a recognized newspaper or magazine (NY times-OK, Enquirer-Not OK). The article should be at least 100 words in length and if taken from the internet should be downloaded and printed out. Write a 1 page summary on the article (including WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN) if applicable.) You should end your summary by writing at least one paragraph giving your personal opinions, thoughts, feelings about the information in the article and how the article relates to physical, mental, or emotional health. Your summary should be typed or neatly written and stapled or clipped to the article. Make sure your name and class period is on your summary. You will give a brief presentation to the class. This assignment is worth 50 points.

This is a two part project that includes a written paper and an oral presentation. The project is sone with a partner for argument sake, but each person will be graded on his/her own written paper and orla pressentation. Using articles from various sources, research an ethical issue in healthcare, health research, etc. Give a brief explanation or history of the issue then express your views as to why you agree with the issue or why you are against it. Your paper should be 2-3 pages and must includwe an additional page with 5 questions your will ask the opposing side to answer.
