6 rubric Papier-Mache Masks and Myths       popup preview  
Students create art by creating a character and designing a papier-mache mask and accompanying drama. Both art forms (visual and drama) must convey ideas about a myth. Students must base the myth on research about myths from various cultures and the mask design and decoration must use and combine three cultures as inspiration. The skit must be original and be an original myth. The mask must be the character planned for the each student mask designer to be in the skit.
