Independent Studetn Notebook Rubric
Each assignment will be graded based on the following criteria.

Reveiw Presentation
You will work in a group to present an assigned subject that has been covered in this unit. Your presentation must include a visual element as well as technology. You must also involve the class in some way (activity, handout, discussion, etc.).

Character Interviews
You will be working in pairs to conduct an interview with a character from A Midsummer Night's Dream. One student will play the role of the interviewer and the other will play the role of the character. You may video tape the interview or conduct it live. The class will screen the interviews and critique each presentation using a rubric.

Students will create a set for the play, A Midsummer Night's Dream, using a theme of their choice. The set will be mapped out for each scene.

Students will create a comic strip using www.professorgarfield.org comics lab or the bitstrip app. Students will create a supplementary story to the play choosing a genre/era of the choice (approved by the teacher).

Students will create a dictionary using vocabulary words and give the definition of each word. Students will create a picture demonstrating each definition or give an example of how this word is used in context other than what they have read in the play.
