Rubric to grade Spanish family tree project

Working in groups of three, create a Spanish television news video. Include local, national, and/or international news, weather, sports, food, celebrity interview and/or a commercial to the show. The team may produce the news inside a studio or with reporters.

You will tell the story about yourself in Spanish. Reflect upon the major events of your life so far. Pick one significant event that has already happened in you life. Select only one significan event. Use your knowledge of the past tenses to write your story and present it to the class. Remember, in creating your story to include your story elements. Your final written story and your presentation to the class must be in Spanish. This assignment is valued at two assessment grades.

Students are to read a Spanish short story or fable and prepare storyboards as their only notes. Students will orally retell the story using assigned vocabulary. Any new words to be put on the board. Students to be graded on both speaking and correct story presentation.

Students will write and perform a skit in Spanish using the vocabulary learned in class.

Create a classroom skit using the vocabulary and expressions you have learned. Must include classroom objects, expressions, subjects, day, date and time.

Students are required to engage in a conversation by performing a Spanish skit and put into practice the vocabulary learned in class.

You will create a project that uses reflexive verbs to describe a daily routine. You may make an illustrated children's book, slide presentation or video. The project should include at least 10 reflexive verbs in Spanish and the illustrations/visuals should match the text. The projects will be presented to the class.
