This rubric is a 4 point scale designed to assess narrative pieces written by elementary students in grades 3-5.

Students are to write a realistic adventure fiction story using the writing process.

An essay on goals for the new school year.

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the theme of Anti- Bullying. Students' poster will have an anti-bullying title/slogan. The poster should be creative and colorful. Pictures can be from books, magazines or hand drawn. The poster will be designed on poster board (1/2 or full-sized poster board).

ASSESS WORK DONE IN THE MATH / LITERACY CENTERS.

Students will write a free-verse poem containing sensory details, interesting word choices, and utilizes the free verse form .

Scholars were assigned a Native American tribe research project to be completed in class and at-home. This is an individual research project, and should display the environment, food, clothing, location, historical information about an assigned Native American tribe. Scholars will design and craft dream catchers and mini-totem poles in addition to the research project.

Student is to follow step by step directions to create a personal dream catcher.

The students have been working on all the concepts leading up to adding/subtracting fractions with like denominators.

Used for grading of Haiku Poems.

SWBAT Measure and Convert Customary Units of Length

Students will create a factor tree to determine the prime factors of a given number.

(R.L.2) Determine the central idea of and summarize texts. Identify main characters and interactions with other characters.

For this project you will find a rectangular prism in the real world. On this sheet you will find the volume and surface area, answer questions and attach a picture of the object. On the picture you will write the measurements (in metrics) so that you can calculate the volume and surface area. Please use fractions and decimals for the exact measurements
