Spanish notebook rubric

You will design a Spanish menu for a new restaurant with Spanish foods. You must give your restaurant a name (in Spanish) and create the menu entirely in Spanish. The menu should include at least three complete meals for each category on your menu, and a list of three or more beverages and three or more desserts. The menu should be visually pleasing with with easily identifiable headings/categories, and graphics/color photos. Menu must be typed in Spanish.

Rubric for Pablo Picasso portraits.Students observe and discuss Cubist art and focus on portraits by Picasso. They create a portrait in the Cubist style.

For Black History Month, the student is to research and write a biography on an important Afro-Latino historical figure. This biography includes information on the person's early life, what led them to their chosen career or purpose, what contributions they made to society, 3-5 interesting or unique facts about the person, and the student's own reflections about the impact that the person and their contributions have on modern times.

Each student will make a presentation about the given topics about their state in Mexico. 1-Geography 2-Religion 3-Government 4-Economy 5-Population 6-State information (famous/historical landmarks, flag, motto, animal, etc.) 7- Map of the state (depicting where the capital is)

You have been learning about Dia De Los Muertos in Spanish class. You were asked to make an altar representing a person you would like to honor after they have passed. It may be a relative, friend, pet who have passed away.

Students are to write a "A Julia de Burgos" style poem dividing their personality into two, 'Me vs. You'. They are to write a minimum of 10 lines incorporating rich vocabulary for their descriptions.

You will create a power point, oral presentation, and graphic organizer around a famous Hispanic figure. You must talk about their background (ex where they are from, childhood, upbringing etc), obstacles they had to endure, What important contributions they made to society, and why you chose this person. You must include pictures for each slide.

Students must research and present the Latin American national hero chosen by them. The oral presentation must be in Spanish and the accompanying powerpoint, or any other visual aid, must be in Spanish, as well. The presentation must show why this character is considered a hero.

Students will create a banner of their country. They will have 8 sections filled out and completed about said country. Students must also remember to include their countries name.

Students in Spanish III have designed a 3 day travel brochure for the capital city of Bogota, Colombia or Caracas, Venezuela.

Students will create a power point presentation about a Spanish speaking country. Content includes information provided in all categories of country project hand-out. Power point must have at least 15 slides. Oral presentation is also part of the assessment.

Students create a poster based on something they learned about helping the environment

Students will write a poem based on their culture, their family, traditions or memories that revolve around food and dishes they know about/familiar with. They will tie all of these elements together in a poem that follows the poem read by Nicolas Guillen. Go through the writing process-rough draft, proofread and final . your poem should contain a minimum of 10 lines. On the border around the poem, create symbols that represent your poem.

Students choose a poem from a selection of Spanish poets and recite the poem in Spanish to the class.
