This rubric was designed for our school conversation skits in which partners have a conversation in French related to school. An outline was provided in which students ask and answer questions related to their school schedule, teachers, and subjects they either like, prefer or dislike. A greeting, farewell and humorous French phrases must be included. Each group member will be assigned an individual mark.

Students will perform a skit to demonstrate mastery of vocabulary related to greetings and introductions. Students are working in groups of 2-3 students. Students must prepare a brief skit (2-3 mins) that includes phrases and expressions related to greetings and introductions. Each group will have a class period to write their skits and should be prepared to act out their skits. While the skits are being performed, class members are to observe and listen.

Use movie making techniques to recreate a movie from novel. Movie project should be done in Spark.adobe.com using your login. You need to start with the title, chapter one and chapter 2. You must write captions and add an audio recording to your final product. Be creative and have fun. You may use your book and your photo finish/summary of both chapters.

Using vocabulary from unit 6 , your will work in pair to create a fashion and/or sports magazine. You will repreprent the clothing you will wear for each seasons (4) label each article, describe and price them conveniably using "Euros" . Carefully read the rubric details since all will be responsible for the group grade.

Students will create a one-page illustration of their family tree, using pictures of their family and labeling family members as indicated by rubric (family label). Your family tree will include at least 5 family members and one (of course) can be a pet! Also, one picture and description will be of you! You will introduce yourself and describe all the members of your family tree, providing name and age to the class (in French, of course).

The purpose of this project is to facilitate student learning about travel to a French-speaking country. The student will pretend that he/she has a budget of $3500 to visit a minimum of 3 cities in 2 or more French-speaking countries (or French territories) for 2-5 days each and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their chosen countries. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research, books and travel brochures in order to be able to answer questions about their chosen countries' culture, government, religion, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, s/he will synthesize the information and create a comprehensive itinerary in French (French III & IV) or in English (French I & II) for the trip. This itinerary will then be presented to the class. French I & II will need to memorize 5-10 basic French sentences for the presentation as well.

Students will create a comic strip of 6 different frames that depict vocabulary and grammar learned from Chapter 5. Each frame must include:Minimum of two lines, correct grammar and spelling, and use vocabulary and grammar acquired from Chapter 5.
