Students will create a poster/pamphlet that will bring awareness to a social issue of their choosing. Students will provide accurate information in a creative and colorful poster/pamphlet using pictures or scenarios to educate peers about the chosen topic. You must include at least two research based articles or other news media to validate your claims. The poster will be designed on poster board. The pamphlet will be designed on a standard size sheet of paper.

Research an important social issue. Discuss the current state of issue and include statistical data in tables and charts. Develop your own approach to solving the problem and create a spreadsheet that utilizes formulas to calculate the changes that would take place because of your plan. Show your results in tables and charts. Also show the comparison between the current data and the change to data based on your plan.

Using any sources you like, construct a 3-5 minute podcast about your selected topic on public speaking. Each podcast should contain both audio and video. Each team member must be seen on camera at some point in the video.

Students will assume the role of a salesperson. Students will create a product or business that they are passionate about. They will design a brochure, newsletter, and poster that effectively advertises their product/business. Students will also create a 2 minute sales pitch. The audience must be able to identify the product, the need it fulfills, the targeted audience, the benefit and price.
