Students design a poster displaying 5 harmful effects sugar/soda have on the body. Students focus on one body part and draw the (brain, kidneys, bones, lungs, heart, teeth, or digestive system). Students explain what sugar/soda does to the body. Students will include a title on the front, group members names/numbers on the back. Students will be graded on neatness, creativity, and organization. Presentation discussing poster.

Assessment of five senses, and book project.

Students work in groups of 2-3 to cut and paste food groups onto paper into a pyramid. Student also keeps track of one daily food intake using a food journal.

The students compare the nutritional labels of two foods and make a choice based on the criteria they have learned.

Create a menu. You must give your restaurant a name and create the menu. The menu should include at least five complete choices for each of the three different sections of the menu: appetizers, entrees and desserts. The menu should be visually pleasing.

Students will create a magazine advertisement using persuasive details and emotional appeals, and effective adversiting techniques; complete with logo and word choice. Students also will be given a rubric to grade other students advertisements. This will be done anonymously. The advertisement should be marketed well to a wide audience. Choose HOW you want to market it and WHO you want to sell it to. Decide how best you can persuade those buyers to purchase your product.

Students will be assessed on their overall ability and attitude toward the game of soccer. Students will be assessed on their performance of soccer skills and technique.

You are graded on your sportsmanship based on your cooperation, attitude, team support, and participation.
