Find a Current sports related article in the local newspaper. Cut out the article from the newspaper. Write a 1 page summary on the article including WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN. The summary should include at least three paragraphs. Students will complete a research paper on a topic of their choice (not a biography) related to dance. Students should include significant information on their chosen topic and why it is important to the world of dance. The paper should include at least 4 credible sources cited within the work and should be 3-4 pages in length. There should be a title page and a works cited page that do not count toward the required length of 3-4 pages.

A power point or video presentation rubric for Jazz/Broadway. You need to have a minimum of 10 slides or 10 specific facts included in the video.You should also sight your info on presentation either with a slide or video of resources. Presentations of Slide Shows and videos will start on November 8. Pick a Jazz or Broadway dancer/choreographer from the early or modern eras. All project should contain relevant information on the person including background, style of jazz, examples or description of choreographic style and specific performances and choreographical works. Only one person per jazz dancer/choreographer. Worth 100 points as test grade for unit.
