This rubric has been designed as a diagnostic evaluation for students to self-assess their confidence with prerequisite knowledge and skills.

This rubric is used for an undergraduate project using the leadership skill of a 360 degree self-assessment in a capstone project to develop a Personal Leadership Plan.

Listen to teacher and follow instructions; Listen to teacher say tasks aloud and repeat instructions back; Listen to teacher ask questions and answer them verbally.

Student must design a seven day meal plan for themselves that consists of nutritious and fresh natural unprocessed foods, that will include one meal they will prepare FROM SCRATCH (so no hamburger helper or frozen family dinners) for themselves and their family. Student will write a 300 word summary of their meal plan and experience and give a 5-8 minute presentation on their meal plan in class using Power Point.

Student will create a healthy balanced menu and prepare it for his/her family.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

You will be covering some of the topics from Workbook P138-139 and creating review material for the class. You have one class period of time to finish review activity and present it to class tomorrow. The review material can be in the forms of game, worksheet, song, or a creation of your own. Make sure to keep the activity simple and relevant to Unit 4 content. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the Unit Review Activity to ensure that all criteria have been met.

Students will use iMovie to create a video that will be 2 to 3 minutes in length. Answering the questions on Textbook P121 and add more questions related to the content you learn about eating out.

Students will prepare a skit about ordering in a restaurant using the phrases and vocabulary from chapter 6. Make sure to include a waitress or waiter and client. Each client must: 1. Order a drink b.an appetizer c.the main dish d.a desert 2.Each client must ask the waiter for at least one thing he or she is missing during the skit 3.Each client must comment on how the food tastes at least once. 4.Every student needs to use formal and informal expressions to request and thank for things, 5.Each person should talk about the same amount—no one person should dominate. 6.You may use no notes whatsoever.7.You must act it out with enthusiasm. 8.One client must ask the waiter for the check at the end 9.Everybody gives money for the cost of their meal to the person who ask for the check. 10.HAVE FUN!

You will design a menu for a new restaurant. You must give your restaurant a name and create the menu headers and titles entirely in Chinese with pinyin for each item. The menu should include at least FOUR sections: breakfast 早餐, lunch 午餐, and dinner 晚餐, and a list of four or more beverages 饮料. The menu should be visually pleasing with with easily identifiable headings, descriptions, and graphics/color pictures.

You are a travel agent for Mexico. You are to create a travel brochure to attract travelers to Mexico during Cinco de Mayo. You will research the internet and use your imagination. This brochure should be colorful, creative and written to entice travelers to spend their money to visit Mexico during Cinco de Mayo. Refer to the handout for some things to include in your brochure. You must also include the name, address, phone/website of your travel agency.

GD 1

Write brief postcard to a penpal using topics covered in Lesson 8 Hobbies. Postcard should include: an audience appropriate greeting and closing (farewell), Three things you enjoy doing during the weekend and three things you dislike. The postcard must include pictures that illustrate items written in letter.

Rubric for short writing assignment for Chinese class

Drawing by hand, each student will create a comic strip to show understanding of Hobby expressions in Chinese with appropriate vocabulary and grammatical sentences.
