Research the approved topic. Submit one 7-10 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following MLA guidelines. Include a bibliography citing at least 5 resources used researching the paper. (use quotes from all 5)sources should include a news paper, professional journal, your text and two other books. Quotes can not be more than 5 lines. You are encouraged to interject your personal opinion into this paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.

Students will create a song or rap to tell the story of the Younger's, discuss theme, moral, conflict and resolution. Students can record the performance for the class or perform the song live for extra credit. Students can also use YouTube to create a video as well. Lyrics and song choices MUST be school appropriate. Inappropriate lyrics or songs may result in a zero. A typed (Times New Roman, double spaced, 12 point font) copy of the song is to be handed in upon performance.

Popup Book
Create an interactive popup book using www.zooburst.com. This book will consist of a title page that contains info about the author and the play, character page that contains info on each main character, a chronological summary of the events of the play including: major events, conflicts, climax and resolution.

The student will create a headstone, deliver a eulogy and write an obituary for one of the main characters of the play.

Create a blog using Weebly, from the point of view of one of the main characters for either before, during or after the time of the play. Include at least 3 journal entries that are a minimum 250 words each, 1 name poem, 3 photos that relate to the character (1 being of your character), 1 video that your character would be interested in; 1 quote, poem or song (lyrics) your character would be drawn to and why they are drawn to it.

Design a New Book Cover: Use your knowledge of the story and characters to create a new book cover you think would entice readers to pick up this book and read it. Students will use this rubric to write an alternate ending for the story.

Timeline
Students are to create a timeline using PowerPoint or Prezi concerning important events from play. There should be no less than 10 slides on the timeline. Students are to include pictures that they believe represent the event on their timeline that they have found on the internet or they have uploaded themselves. Each even is to have a brief explanation on the same slide as the picture.

Comic book
Student will present at least 10 slides illustrating a comic book-styled version of the play. Books should use at least 3 full 8x11 sheets of paper, whether that includes 6 full page slides, or 12 1/2 page slides, and so on, doesn't matter. Books should include characters (shown at least from waist up). There will be no stick figures. Illustrations should be colorful and as artfully portrayed as possible.
