In specific groups, students will create a 30 second-1 min commercial using the Movie Maker Program. You must import a video for your commercial. Your commercial must be a story line production in which you are trying to convince someone to buy a specific product or go to a specific destination. You must complete the commercial worksheet (provided), and have at least 4 story board frames (see attached worksheets). You must have video, music and audio. A written script must accompany your presentation. Use the commercial worksheet to show how your commercial targets the appropriate customers, and to show how you will sell your project. This Rubric is used for the assessment of a solo vocal audition; 16-24 bars, unaccompanied musical theater selection.

Students are assigned a composer from one period of Music History to creatively present to the class using art, drama, poetry and/or original composition within a 5 minute time frame.

Religion has inspired great works of art throughout mankind's history. Jews crafted the golden Ark of the Covenant to carry the Ten Commandments; Christians composed great pieces of music in celebration of Christ; Muslims constructed mosques with beautiful tiled domes; Hindus built temples with extraordinary carvings depicting their gods and Buddhists sculpted lifelike statues of the Buddha. For this project you will do one of two things. You may research a work of art that was inspired by the artist's religion or you may create your own work of art inspired by your own religion. You will present the artwork, either your own or the artist's to the class. If you present someone else's artwork, you also have to present your research on the work of art. If you present your own artwork, you need only explain how your religion inspired your work of art.

Assessment of a group performance

Assessment of a performance of class written scenes incorporating a non-musical song.

Students become a character in a play and write dialogue as well as include artwork and references to music as if this is the artist's own diary.

The objective of this paper is to take an in-depth look into your individual leadership style(s). What is leadership? What does leadership mean to you? What are some ways to lead? Knowing your personal strengths and limitations, which leadership style is a good fit for you? Develop a code of ethics and describe and explain why this is your code (see fig. 3.1 & fig. 3.2). Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your particular style(s). In what ways do you need to develop yourself as a leader?

Understanding and appreciating the arts enhances the quality of life for all of our students and ensures the preservation of our cultural heritage in the future. It is important for every student at UNH to experience the intellectual and emotional impact of the arts. Experiencing the Fine and Performing Arts within the artistic life of the University is an important aspect of the experience of being part of a university community. The subject will be art, architecture, theater, film, dance, or music and the course will endeavor, with some element of learning through experience, to enrich a student’s understanding of and appreciation for the fine or performing arts.

Students will write on what music means to them and how it effects their everyday life.
