Music Transcription Project
Student will accurately transcribe an approved song of their choice to transcribe the melody and rhythm. A transcription of music is writing out music on paper based upon listening to the music. Students can do this project alone or as a part of a group. Students who do this alone will need a recording of the music to play with the recording. Students who wish to work together as a group will still be graded individually based upon their transcription accuracy and performance level. With groups, all members must have different parts that are being performed

Singing Skills
The following rubric is a checklist for singing skills. In order for you and I to analyze your current vocal skills, you can choose a song from your Ipod to sing for me by yourself while you listen to the song with your earbuds. That way, you can hear the melody and sing along, but I can hear your voice and see your face and body in order to give you constructive feedback. Also, I will videotape you so that YOU ALONE can see and hear yourself as well. I will NOT show the video to your classmates. You will then complete the rubric below.
