Pick a scene from the book and create a diorama. A diorama is a miniature scene in a box. This diorama is from the Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway, so use of a 2 liter plastic soda bottle is required. With your created diorama, you will write a one-page explanation of the scene and characters in the scene and why you believe this was an important scene in the novel. Please write the paper in 3rd person using correct conventions.

The students will work in teams and create in a group a written paper, visual presentation aide (poster, ppt, prezi) and a game; all to "teach" their assigned Habit (from the book) to their classmates.

Students chose a story of Greek Mythology to read independently and then review. The review incorporates information about the characters, setting, plot, genre, theme, and writing style.

The student will write a book report (two pages) on a story or fable of their choice. They will need to include the genre, title, author, illustrator, setting, the main character(s), the conflict and resolution, a summary of the plot, and a personal connection to the book or opinion of the book.
