You cannot just list events, you must provide a small paragraph explaining the significance of the events you choose to document on the timeline as important

Omit the appearance of the naval officer or any other outside intervention/person. Be specific and continue the book beyond the immediate fate of Ralph. What other events are bound to follow? What would you have happen next? What changes in characters occur? Remember: You are to write as if the story is still going on. DO NOT write "I would have Ralph_________and Jack would____________." You are to still write with dialogue and in third person.

The students will go through the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising and publishing) to create a poem that contains 4 stanzas with 4 lines in each stanza. The poem will have a consistent rhyme scheme throghout the poem. The student will type their poem and paste it onto a piece of construction paper. On the border around the poem, the student will create symbols that represent their poem.
