Using art paper, map out a timeline of the significant events in the book. Pictures or illustrations should be used as well to bring the timeline to life. You cannot just list events, you must provide a small paragraph explaining the significance of the events you choose to document on the timeline as important

Omit the appearance of the naval officer or any other outside intervention/person. Be specific and continue the book beyond the immediate fate of Ralph. What other events are bound to follow? What would you have happen next? What changes in characters occur? Remember: You are to write as if the story is still going on. DO NOT write "I would have Ralph_________and Jack would____________." You are to still write with dialogue and in third person.

Research a topic from the Pearl and write page and half to two pages.

Write an analysis of five scenes. In 5 paragraphs, explain the five scenes in correspondence to each visual interpretation. Add an additional 2 paragraphs for introduction and conclusion.

Students will choose a specific topic to write a poem about. The students will go through the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising and publishing) to create a poem that contains 4 stanzas with 4 lines in each stanza. The poem will have a consistent rhyme scheme throghout the poem. The student will type their poem and paste it onto a piece of construction paper. On the border around the poem, the student will create symbols that represent their poem.

Write a complete ending to the novel that answers the following: Where are the boys taken once they board the naval cruiser? What do the boys tell the Navy officers? How does Jack handle the situation? What kind of reception do the boys come home to in England? Explain the outcomes of Jack and Ralph. Again, DO NOT write, "I would have do this_______and this_________." You are to write with dialogue and in third person.

Make a poster or Prezi displaying at least 5 of the characters in the book. Under each character, include a typed paragraph completely describing them and include at least one quote from the book for each. OR you can do one of these with key symbols i the book, instead of characters. If you choose symbols, you must give a paragraph explanation under each of its significance in the story.
