SMART Goal Project Marking Period 1
The students will be able to write 1 S.M.A.R.T goal for the first marking period by Thursday, September 19th. Directions: Choose a personal S.M.A.R.T goal. Clearly define the goal, or objective by explaining how each part of the statement is S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely. Type an analysis that includes Part 1 and then outline the strategy for achieving the goal. Identifies potential pitfalls and challenges that may come up.Share the goal with the class.

Small Ensemble Performance Project

Synthesize knowledge of the elements of music by arranging a folk tune through composition and written analysis. Use a simple folk tune (Jolly Good Fellow) in order to experiment with the art of arranging music. Write a short essay that explains the cognitive process involved, addresses the essential question, and provides an opinion about the enduring understanding statement.
