Student will create a 3-D model of an atom, not hydrogen or helium. Student will include the correct number of protons and neutrons in the correct location for that atom.

Each student was to create a Prezi presentation to answer the essential question: "What is the relationship between elements, compounds and mixtures. This presentation must be professional, creative, engaging to the rest of the class, and address the assigned content.

In this project, you will be creating a poster to teach the viewer how to balance chemical equations. Directions: 1. Layout your poster on the back of this page. 2. Write clear, simple instructions on how to balance a chemical reaction, using at least one reaction as an example. 3. Include a minimum of 3 chemical equations total. 4. You should use one of your equations for the viewer to solve (hide answers in a flip-up, etc.). 5. You may not use any chemical equations used by anyone else in the class. Check the lists to make sure that you aren’t duplicating someone else and then add your reactions to the lists. 6. Include the balanced answers to all of the equations. 7. Attach this sheet to the back of your poster. Bonus opportunity! • If one of your demonstrated equations contains one or more polyatomic ions. Remember to make your poster: ? easy-to-read (large, clear, uncluttered, writing) ? colorful & attractive ? neat ? informative

Create a 3 minute video that teaches a chemistry topic of your choice. Your video can be a music video, play, claymation, animation, TV show, or another style. The video must be professional and focus on teaching content in a fun/imaginative fashion rather than a lecture format.

A general rubric designed to inspire a lively debate about any topic at hand. The general style of the debate is: opening statement (3-5 min.) in the affirmative and the negative, rebuttal (3-5 min.) by affirm. and neg., and a closing statement for each side. (3 min) Other categories such as general chemical knowledge can be added.
