Students will interview in pairs

Using the Headway outline (which includes all of the DHS requirements). Students will conduct a diagnostic interview with their partners and utilize the information obtained, in conjunction with the previously completed Rule 25 to write a diagnostic assessment.

Students will complete a Rule 25 Assessment with their partner

Each group will select a screening tool commonly used in the field of Addiction and Mental Health from the selection of tools provided by the Instructor. Students will research the reliability and validity of the tool, take turns utilizing the tool with their partner then provide the class with a 5 min overview of the tool, how it is used, why it is used, how it felt to utilize the tool to screen for Co-Occurring Disorders, and the reliability and validity of the particular tool.
