Student Skills & Work Completion

This rubric will be used to evaluate how a student works and participates during activities (work, class, meeting, assembly, etc.). I have purposely weighted each criteria this way as I believe this rubric will be fairer to the lower level students that are trying to participate rather than those that are largely unresponsive in class - Fair = 3 and Poor = 1

Classroom Assignments Expectations

This rubric has been designed to assess students' on-task performance for in-class assignments with an accuracy level of 80%. Student needs to achieve scores of 3 in 4 areas and scores of 4 in 1 area to achieve 80% accuracy.

Science Observations

Students keep a four-week journal of written observations of a particular location for 15 minutes four times a week. Observations are recorded in the journal in dated and timed entries. After completion of the journal, students must complete four extended responses based on their observations and their analysis of their observations.
