Students will be researching a chosen drug category in small groups (groups of FOUR, with one group of three due to uneven class size), then sharing the collected information about the drug with the class. They will complete a research paper, as well as presentation. The presentation can take any form the students choose (prezi, PowerPoint, etc) and is open to creativity! The research paper and presentation should include the classification; proper name; street names; how it's taken; history; immediate effects; long term effects; medical uses(if any);legal or illegal. Any additional information will be rewarded with extra credit. The group must also present the class with a short 5 question quiz on their drug.

The student will explain the potential health implications of illegal drugs, alcohol, and tobacco abuse. The student will be assigned a group, complete an oral group presentation to the class on illegal drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and provide the instructor with supporting documentation.

Students keep a record of everything they eat and drink for 7 consecutive days. Students needs to fill out food log that is given to them.
