Student groups will be assigned dissections/descriptions in each module. The students in each group must complete the dissection and explain findings to class on powerpoint slides. Save each slide to jpeg and then load onto the class Anatomy Dissection Site. Each group should plan to teach the topic and all members in the group must talk.

Students will create a proportional skull sculpture out of clay (oo drawing on paper if blow-up occurs). After firing the skull with be painted with a pattern or design.

Create a video that promotes healthy lifestyles and the value of being physically fit. Be creative. Your video can be a commercial, PSA, music video, news report. The video must be professional and focus on sending a positive message that promotes healthy lifestyles and the value of fitness in a fun/imaginative fashion rather than a lecture format.

Develop & design a self-portrait using a photograph. Use an 8.5 x 11 size art board. Vector art should be similar to the original photograph, yet be creative and original. Save the design in a pdf format, email the file to msumida, print a copy of the photograph and a copy of the self-portrait. Both photograph and self-portrait must be uploaded to student digital portfolio, with student response completed, saved and shared.

Students will prepare a presentation with a dish made from "super foods" of their choice. They will research and know how the super foods they chose could benefit us if consumed more often.

In Adobe Illustrator, develop & design an event poster based on one of the vintage travel poster examples given. Assume a print size of letter (8.5"x11".) This is to be a 4 color process (CMYK) job. The vector art should be similar to the original vintage poster that the student has chosen, yet be creative and original. All headline and body copy from the original design must be used, but students should take the opportunity to rearrange their placement and change colors/fonts and other typographical elements in order to take better advantage of design principles. Students must save the design in the correct file format and place in a new InDesign document, then properly package the document for print production.

This poster board will contain relevant information directly related to the topic. Students will provide information on their topic in a creative and attractive board presentation. Students will show the changes made from their first draft based on their first presentation, student assessments and poster-board walk-through.
