The student will demonstrate his/her knowledge of mood by choosing an unfamiliar mood word, conveying the word's meaning through creating a (visual) facial expression, stating its denotation, and listing five synonyms for the word.

Write a short analysis of this character using one of the elements outlined above. In one paragraph, explain the character’s relationship, motivation, influence, or conflict. Use evidence to support the explanation. In an additional paragraph, extend this element of the character and connect it to the plot. You may explain something that has happened with the character using your above analysis. You may predict something that will happen to the character using your above analysis.

Directions: You will first be assigned one of the 50 states. Next, you will have to conduct research using your selected book, internet, and or additional resources to complete the "Investigate your State" packet. After you have completed the packet you will have to construct a collage on a posterboard. You will need to find at least four famous people from that state and write about them. Example, state flag, state capital, state motto. Example, write a paragraph of how that state became what it is today. There are dozens of topics to write about involving each state. If you have questions, feel free to ask!

There should be 4 sections, and they should be labeled as well as in the correct geographical direction. There should be 4 quotes per picture. Each quote should have a page number as well as paragraph number.
