You will create a play based on a Revolution. You are going to create a play. Your play will be based one of the many revolutions that has taken place somewhere in the world (i.e. the American Revolution, the Mexican Reolution, the Boxer Rebellion.) Your play must explain what a revolution is, include the causes and consequences of the the revolution, include at least two key players (this may be kings, military leaders or revolutionary thinkers) and be at least 3 minutes long.

This rubric is designed to assess the educational Animoto assignment found in MERLOT at http://www.merlot.org.

Students will write a letter to their teacher explaining their learning style. how you learn best, and a lesson/activity that you would like for your teacher to do in class that appeals to your learning style.

Student will create a vision board that focuses on their future. The presentation should have pictures that represent school goals, relationships, things and people he or she loves, heath and future job. A clear theme needs to be present. No smaller than a poster 14"x 17". See your teacher for materials if needed.

Vocabulary and definitions.

Interview a person who works in the profession or field you desire or thin you may want to do later in life.

In your conversation groups, create a newscast which includes two anchors, a weatherperson, and a sports reporter. A fifth person could be a feature reporter or on the street interviewer, etc. Each person should have three stories and one commercial. The newscasts will be filmed with digital cameras and edited using iMovie. The newscast should be creative and organized and professional!

Students are asked to write a 3.5 essay that demonstrates their ability to define and identify irony and relate its effect on a short story.
