Principles of Technology Google Sites Rubric
Design a Google Site based on a subject that interests you. Your purpose could be teaching, providing statistics, getting your artwork or writing out to the world, creating a place for people your age to know fun events that are happening in the area, writing movie/video game reviews, sharing recipes, selling a product/service (babysitting, dog-walking, tutoring, etc). Be creative and thorough!

Game Project- Language Arts
Create a game that requires players to engage in some form of physical activity while learning as many morphemes and words containing morphemes as possible. Be sure that your game has clearly explained and typed directions, and be sure that it thoroughly teaches the concept of morphemes and includes at least 20 examples.

Short Story Rubric- Language Concept

Volume Mobile
Create your own hanging mobile that teaches volume/engineering strategies. Your mobile must have 6 different rectangular prisms and cubes, arranged in a creative way. You must use your knowledge of volume to keep your mobile balanced on all sides.

Game Project- Volume
Using cardboard boxes of a variety of sizes, design a hands-on volume calculation game for small groups of students to play. Make sure the game is fun, but also clearly teaches the concept of calculating the volume of rectangular prisms. Be sure your game incorporates the using of cubes to fill up the space in the boxes, and it also incorporates estimating volume, as well as actual volume calculation. Be prepared to have your classmates play your game.

Poetry Book Rubric
Create a poetry book that will include six original poems: 1 Cinquain, 1 Concrete, 1 Diamonte, 1 Limerick, 1 Haiku, and 1 Acrostic. At least one poem will be presented orally. Your poetry book must also include a glossary of the six terms and an introductory letter explaining why you picked your theme for each poem and how it relates to your book. Students will also include an illustration that best represents the overall poetry book’s theme for the front cover.

WeVideo Rubric
Using WeVideo, students will create a video that can be presented to the class. The final video should serve the purpose of creatively teaching our current topic of study. In addition to documentary style, the video can be a poem, story, newscast or song....as long as the content background is conveyed to the viewer.
