Students will choose a topic related to nutrition and diet therapy and complete an educational brochure for a selected population. For example, a brochure highlighting proper nutrition during lactation for breastfeeding or expectant mothers would be appropriate. Topic must be approved by instructor before beginning. Please see the attached rubric or the instructor for additional help. A total of 30 points is possible.

Each student will research a team sport and apply that information to create a powerpoint presentation.

The project is to develop a power point presentation describing an assigned disease. This project would be for a highschool health (9-12) class which is a requirement for high school graduation. The minimum number of slides in th powerpoint is 15 and the maximum is 25. The requirements include; what is the disease; cause; signs and symptoms; incubation period; treatment; prognosis; prevention; foundations dedicated to research about the disease; and well known people who suffer from the disease. Include 5 appropriate graphics/pictures. Questionable ones need to be preapproved by the teacher. Also include a title slide and a works cited/reference slide with at least 5 sources.
