You will create a video using the Lab Safety Rules to show your understanding of the rules provided. Length: minimum of 3 minutes and maximum of 5 minutes. Number of Rules: minimum of 15 rules must be apparent in video. Everyone must make an appearance in the video. Video must be filmed on GMS campus and GMS labs. 4 = 8 points 3 = 6 points 2 = 4 points 1 = 2 points

You will design a professional poster that can be used to teach students the parts and function of the human body. You must label the main parts of the system with a description of parts and their function, name and describe diseases that affect system, and diet required to keep the system healthy. You will show how the poster itself can be used as a teaching tool.

You will be assigned a human body system. It is your job to gather information for the PowerPoint presentation about your system. You will need to find the correction information reguarding your body system. You need to have a minimum of 8 slides. There should be no more than 6 bullets per slide. Each bullet needs to contain 10 words or less. You need presentation needs to include all 7 topics

You will interview a professional in the medical field who can give you information about your body system. You may record the interview and replay it in class when you have it ready. The recording needs to be 5 minutes long. A typed copy of your questions and answers will also be turned in with the recording of your presentation

You may choose to make a song about your body system. You may use the rhythm from other songs to add to your words. You may need to research your system in order to have enough information to use in the song. You may either sing it personally in class or pre-record the song (your voice is the one singing). You can video tape it or recond on CD. You are allowed to have others as backup singers and you can use an instrument if you can play one.

Students are assigned a topic over biomes. They are to research information and answer the questions asked. Each student will find data assciated with their topic. This data will be presented in a graph. This will count as a test grade.

9 rubric Biome Travel Brochure Rubric       popup preview  
As Travel Scientist, you will discover amazing facts about a specific biome. You will research your assigned biome and create a travel brochure to invite tourists to travel to your biome. The brochure must include at least 4 pictures. It can be computer generated or hand written. Once your brochure is complete, you will present your biome brochure to the class as a separate TEST grade.
