The student will create a short clip using Stop Motion techniques. This movie will be made with the iPad using the Motion Cafe app. Stop motion (also known as stop frame) is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. In this video the student will demonstrate "app smashing" by using other apps to put together a video that demonstrates a math concept using manipulatives that are made to come alive and talk.

Using Photoshop to produce a composition from a collection of images. More points given for using original photos, but Google Images may be use for part or all of this project. Students apply knowledge of selections, masking, image adjustments, layer blending modes, layer effects, adjustment layers and associated techniques.

Students use Photoshop to create a page for a Scrapbook

Produce a photo collage on a 12" x 12" project page with a resolution of 150 collecting 4-6 pictures from the internet that reflect your personal interests. Be aware of pixels in images and use large images using advanced search in Google. You must show evidence that learning the photoshop software has taken place.

Photo Collage Speci?cations Collage size: 60 picas x 48 picas (10 x 8 inches) 1. Layout and design a Photo Collage using 6 to 8 color and/or B&W photos.(a collage is an assortment of different sized photos arranged in an interesting layout/design for use in magazine, presentation, etc.) 2. Complete the layout in Photoshop. 3. Open, place, or acquire one or more photographs. (note: Your design cannot extend beyond the edge of the document) 4. Retouch, enhance, or manipulate the photographs using shadows, duotone, embossing textures, ?lters and blends when appropriate. 5. Use of text or artwork along with photos is optional with the Photo Collage. 6. Design may use unlimited colors (4-color process). 7. Print the completed assignment. 8. Save the document to your folder.

Photoshop skills assessment

The students will put together a brochure containing information they have gathered from research. They will use Microsoft Publisher. This project is due on March 5th, 2013. The information on the brochure must be original. Plagiarism will result in a zero test grade. All sources must be listed on the student's research document.

Students are to create a movie trailer, advertising a classic novel to a group of high school students. They will be evaluated by said students at a Movie Trailer Marathon, in which the students vote for their favorite trailer for each category (text)

Students will create an original movie trailer. The movie trailer should be 90 seconds to 2 minutes in length, contain multiple shots, music, voice overs, title/titles, credits, and various camera angles & special effects - specified on the project checklist.

Students first attempt at 5 minute movie of their choice. Had to develop storyboard, plot, outline, and apply music. Worked in Groups.
