PhotoShop Assessment for Class Assignments
Speci?cations Color Photo blend size: 24 picas x 30 picas (4 x 5 inches) ? 48 picas x 60 picas (8 x 10 inches) 1. Improve or manipulate a color photo by replacing the existing background or an image using the tools and ?lters in Photoshop. 2. Restore, enhance, or create special effects using the tools, image controls and ?lters. 3. Print the completed project with and without crop marks. for crop marks: Chose FILE ? print ? output ? registration marks ?DONE (note: Labels, crop marks, calibration bars, and reistration marks will only print if the paper size is larger than the printed image dimensions.) 4. Inspect the printed photograph for the desired effects. 5. Save the photograph to your folder.

Students will create a set of 6 Trading Cards. You will use Adobe InDesign for the page layout portion of this project. You will create the artwork in Photoshop/Illustrator. The Trading Cards must be school appropriate in theme, you can choose from sports, music, inspirational persons, cartoon characters, food related, other.

Magazine Cover & Spread Assessment
Create a magazine spread that that showcases your abilities with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Choose a theme of your choice. Be sure to include all of the necessary design elements that have been practiced and applied in class. Pay attention to detail and make the finished product looks as professional as possible. The final project must be submitted as an Indesign document and in PDF form.

World History Scrapbook
This is a project based on different social issues from our Americas world history. Scrapbook will be 8 pages, including Cover/Backcover with 6 pages of topics covered of students choice from list provided by teacher. Size is 11x8.5in, to be designed in InDesign software. MAGAZINE ADVERTISEMENT
Students will create a magazine advertisement using persuasive details and emotional appeals, and effective adversiting techniques; complete with logo and word choice. Students also will provide a reflection, stating their advertisement analysis and how the product came to be. Advertisement should be for a product not normally advertised to teens. Choose HOW you want to market it and WHO you want to sell it to. Decide how best you can persuade those buyers to purchase your product.

Business Cards
You will create 4 different business cards from your chosen business venture. You will be using Photoshop for this endeavor. Business cards must have your logo, must clearly identify the type of company you are, use appropriate fonts, must use good design principles, color theory, balance, clear images, must be the correct sizes. 2x 3.5 or 3.5 x 2. Necessary contact information must be on all business cards.

Make sure the back of your card has important highlights/details about your selected person. The front of the card should be colorful/in good taste, and promote that person(advertisement). It should also be designed to help boost sales for a particular company or organization(reference Chapter 5-2).You must explain in your presentation(Individual trading experience) why your card is so valuable. Remember Trade cards are an example of today's business cards, so promote your person and the company they represent. You must create two cards for two different persons and then get (convince) your peers to trade with you (your card for theirs). A price must be initially established for your cards.
