C. Conflict Management Plan
Focus: Research shows that we may not think clearly when we are in the midst of conflict. For this project students should devise a conflict resolution plan that can assist them in handling conflicting situations in a way that brings glory to God. Task: Create a plan that includes your philosophy for understanding conflict, along with identifying your primary conflict style when working with students and a plan for resolving conflict as it arises in your professional life. Your plan should also reflect an understanding of how you would handle bullying and relational aggression.

B Cultural Celebration Group Google Presentation Rubric
Focus: For your cultural celebration project you are to study the culture, customs, lifestyle, and historical roots of one of the minority groups in America other than the Native Americans or African Americans who are addressed in other course assignments. The purpose is to integrate this minority group of the American population into your classroom studies. This task would also give you helpful background to assist you in teaching a child from this culture. Task:Collaboratively prepare a PowerPoint document using Google documents. Content areas may include significant leaders from the culture, a time line of significant events, challenges and accomplishments, unique traits associated with the culture. Selected reference works and children’s literature should be featured.

G. Current Events Topic Rubric
Focus: Researching a current relevant topic revolving around human relations and reflecting on the impact this topic has on education better promotes awareness and assists in decision making within the classroom. Task: Each student is asked to lead a discussion on a current topic in the news revolving around human relations and the impact on education. Choose a current artifact (newspaper article, journal, video clip, etc.) and lead a 15 minute class discussion revolving around this issue.

E. Discussion Forum On-line In-class Rubric
The Discussion Forum is to be based on the research done prior to the discussion. It should be student guided and professionally conducted with respectful attitudes, even through addressing differing opinions.
