Students write a Business Mission and Vision Statement.

Ways to Lose Points: • Being unprepared. If you have to be excused from class to get your materials, you will lose 1 point for the day. • Being tardy! Automatic 2 point deduction. • Being disrespectful of others. If someone is addressing the class – pay attention! • Cell phones – Automatic 1 point deduction every time your cell phone rings or vibrates loudly. Phones and other electronic devices are only to be used with specific permission from instructor.

Students will assume the role of a salesperson. Students will select a product that they are passionate about and create a 50 second-1 minute sales pitch. Students will develop a 60 second "elevator pitch" for their product. Audience must be able to identify the product, the need it fulfills, the targeted audience, the benefit and price.

To get a job interview you must do something that impresses a company enough to want to get to know you more. A resume may be your only chance to make this impression. Construct a resume based upon a future job that you would like to prepare for or construct a resume based on a current job that you are trying to obtain.

Students work alone, with a partner, or in small groups to teach information from their assigned textbook sections.

Team development of a Marketing Plan

Students will select a company and conduct an analysis of that company's marketing plan. Students will identify the target market(s) and how the marketing plan addresses that target market. Requirements include but are not limited to a S.W.O.T. analysis, a review of the 4P' marketins mix and how these are impacted by the target market. Students will then create a 5-7 minute presentationwith visual aides and present it to the class.

Create unique scenarios for different agricultural contexts: seed sales, livestock breeding stock sales, equipment sales, wedding flower arrangement sales, etc.

Come up with an idea for an invention. On poster board, write the title, a slogan, tell how it works in an informational paragraph, draw and label diagram/model. Students may choose to create a model of the invention.

The students will be re-designing a previous invention or creating their own new invention and then creating an infomercial to "sell" their invention.
