Part of your grade is based on sharing your mythological creation and explain your choices.

Students must pick a theme and detail the theme visually using images and supporting the theme by using evidence from the text. Using poster paper , magazines, internet sources, or hand-drawings, create a diagram that is neat, organized, and appropriate to convey your chosen theme.

A constructed/open response question expects a response to a specific question, problem, or piece of literature. Answers should be short, concise, and complete with specific information from the text, charts, diagrams, or direct quotes from a passage. Answers should demonstrate knowledge of the content and content-specific vocabulary.

The student will write a book report (at least one page) on assigned book. They will need to include the title, author, lessons learned, a short review, and a character analysis for main characters, setting and elements of the genre.

Students wrote a realistic fiction story using the workshop model. Contains STAAR grading categories.

Write a short analysis of this character using one of the elements outlined above. In one paragraph, explain the character’s relationship, motivation, influence, or conflict. Use evidence to support the explanation. In an additional paragraph, extend this element of the character and connect it to the plot. You may explain something that has happened with the character using your above analysis. You may predict something that will happen to the character using your above analysis.

Create a poster that diagrams the characters, setting and plot of your story. It should be detailed, colorful, and neatly done. Be sure to include the title of the book you read and its author on the poster.
