Working in groups of three, create a Spanish television news video. Include local, national, and/or international news, weather, sports, food, celebrity interview and/or a commercial to the show. The team may produce the news inside a studio or with reporters.

Each student will be responsible for writing an article on a current event within the last month in the Spanish-speaking world. All articles must then be compiled to create a class newspaper "El mundo hispanohablante."

The students will put together a poster to show during their oral presentation. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the theme of positive self esteem and body image. The poster will be designed on 11x14 size poster board (1/2 of full poster board).

Students will research, plan, and deliver a speech in which they demonstrate how to perform a specific task of their choice (eg. how to make salsa.) Students will perform the task while giving presentation or will show pictures that correspond to the command.

Students demonstrate ability to use simple Spanish to identify themselves and say what they like to do, and what they are like.

Students will perform a skit to demonstrate mastery of vocabulary related to greetings and introductions. Students are working in groups of 2-3 students. Students must prepare a brief skit (3 minutes to 5 minutes) that include phrases and expressions related to greetings and introductions. Each group will have 45 minutes to write their skits and should be prepared to act out their skits. While the skits are being performed, class members are to observe and listen.

You are creating a menu for a restaurant in a Spanish speaking country. You must give your restaurant a name (in Spanish) and create the menu entirely in Spanish. You must use Spanish restaurant/food vocabulary.

You are creating a recipe book for a Spanish speaking country. You must give your book a name (in Spanish) and find authentic recipes in Spanish from the selected country. You must find 3 recipes for each category: aperitivos, bebidas, postres, platos principales o tradicionales, desayunos y almuerzos for a total of 21 recipes as well pictures for each recipe.
