ILLUSTRATIONS IN LIMITED COLORS IN THE STYLE CHARLES NOLAN
Students will learn how to draw with contour lines and then draw a model in the style of charles Nolan. Students will review the color wheel and the groups of colors that it indicates. Students will be introduced to Charles Nolan and his style of illustration with simplicity of his style. They will decoration and embellishing the background with patterns that symbolizes their own style. This rubric measures the final outcome.

Students will draw from a still life and apply drawing and shading techniques they have learned to render a final drawing that illustrates their understanding of drawing concepts we have studied in class.

Value Composition in Vine Charcoal or Graphite
6 "X 14 " Value Composition in Vine Charcoal or Graphite The composition demonstrates the students ability to create the illusion of volume or form using the element of Art: Value and the principle of composition. Composition suggests a landscape with: house, four trees, sky, mountpasture, 3 other subjects/objects and a minimum of three (3) overlapping areas.
