1 rubric Pop Culture Soundtrack of My Life Music Culture Rubric       popup preview
Whether we are aware of it or not, music is part of our life experience. It might be a song played on a warm-up tape, the last dance at Homecoming, the commercial jingle you hear during every Red Sox broadcast, or load screen music on Madden. It could be your favorite church hymn or the song your family sings while traveling in the car to visit family in Newark. It might be the ring tone that played every time she called -- until you broke up. Create a 7+ song soundtrack of your life, featuring the songs that served as background/inspiration/motivation/reflection/substance of your life from your earliest memories to now.

3 rubric Singing Skills       popup preview
The following rubric is a checklist for singing skills. In order for you and I to analyze your current vocal skills, you can choose a song from your Ipod to sing for me by yourself while you listen to the song with your earbuds. That way, you can hear the melody and sing along, but I can hear your voice and see your face and body in order to give you constructive feedback. Also, I will videotape you so that YOU ALONE can see and hear yourself as well. I will NOT show the video to your classmates. You will then complete the rubric below.
