Students will choose topic to write a poem about. The students will go through the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising and publishing) to create a poem that contains 5 stanzas with 4 lines in each stanza. The poem will have a consistent rhyme scheme throughout the poem. The student will type their poem and on the border around the poem, the student will create symbols that represent their poem. May be created on presentational software.

Writing Rubric Assessment

Students will complete a descriptive writing prompt o create a descriptive essay. Writing will be graded on capitalization, punctuation, use of main idea and supporting details, spelling of high frequency words, plural and possessive noun use, subject/verb tense and agreement, and VoiceThread creation.

Rubric for evaluating the use of blogs by Modern Language students

This rubric assesses Geogebra dynamic worksheets created by the students. Students should show they can identify quadrilaterals and their characteristics. Students need to assess their own learning then turn in the Geogebra worksheet using My Big Campus.
