Students are to write a short story about living in Horn Lake or in some other city where they have lived. The story demonstrates understanding of the stages of plot and the characteristics of a short story. The story must include history and landmarks in the city.

Create a page in a book that relates to your research topic. The page must contain the conflict, 2 examples of figurative language, 2 examples of dialogue, characters names, vivid descriptive language, and imagery

The following rubric will be used to grade your Concrete/Shape poem.

Rubric for skit presentations

In your group, create your Judge Show. Each group must have an Judge while the rest of the group members take the role of other characters from " The Adventure of th Speckled Band." Your group assigned author's purpose must be prevalant in your presentation. Each person in the group must have an active role in the presentation (i.e.: judge, witnesses, planitiff, defendent, etc.). The entire plot must be outlined in your presentation.
