Students had to create a composition based on a song or lyric from a song. They had to create a composition that included 15 different areas that were clearly defined from one another. All of the pieces had to relate to the song. Students also had to consider how each space and placement of design within each space related to each other and the whole. These different parts had to synthesize into a complete, compositional correct, and balanced art piece that also spoke to the personal connection of art to artist and music that they chose.
