Students choose an issue of concern and write a letter to the editor.

The students will create a time line of their life.

It is important that we understand the 3 types branches of government we have in America (Executive, Legislative and Judicial)). To ensure that you all understand the 3 branches and and positions of each, we are going to complete a graphic organizer. Use what you have learned about the different types to create an analogy of our different governments. Make sure that you have the responsibilites of each branch listed.

Students create an ABC book on the American Revolution.

Write a friendly letter. Remember to correctly use and punctuate all the parts of the friendly letter.

The students will put together a poster to show during their oral presentation. The poster will contain information that the students collected regarding the customs of the Lenni Lenape tribe during Colonial times. The group presentation must be aligned with the poster.

Describe Each of New Jersey's four land regions. Create a book with the map of New Jersey on the cover having each of the 21 counties and county seats identified. The cover also includes at least 3 New Jersey symbols drawn, colored, and labeled.

Students are going to create a map of a state or island that they are going to make up. They must give the state/island a name, a description of what it is like in their state/island and draw a map of it. It can be any shape, color, and form of their choice, but it must be creative. Also, it must have a key, compass rose, cardinal directions, mountains, and rivers. We are creating thematic maps so there must be borders. They will work 4 in a group.

TASK: Students will create a foldable demonstrating their knowledge of the causes of weathering and erosion

Students will identify certain characteristics of five different animals groups.

Create a flip chart and story board that show your knowledge of ecosystems

Students will create project using guidelines given in class.

The students will construct a project to show during a presentation that will contain relevant information related to the lives of Americans who invented things that changed the way of life for the people of America and specifically New Jersey.
