Word Problem/ Problem Solving Rubric
Students will solve word problems using math problems and pictures. All About Me
Students will complete an All About Me project about themselves. They must include: 5 basic facts about themselves (ie - birthday, number of siblings, where they were born); 5 of their hobbies and/or dislikes; 3 goals that they have for the future. They must include 3 pictures of themselves depicting any of the things discussed in their project (ie - a picture of themselves playing their favorite sport, a picture of themselves celebrating a holiday with their family, etc.)

A paragraph is a group of sentences supporting the topic sentence/main idea. This rubric will assess how well students develop the topic and support main ideas within a Graphic Organizer.

Informational Writing
Information Texts: CCSS.ELA-Literacy.W.3.2 Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas and information clearly. Students will write an informational text with a main idea (topic sentence), 5 facts to support the main idea (supporting details), and restate the main idea with feeling (conclusion sentence). The students will use correct punctuation and capitalization. The sentences will make sense to the reader using correct grammar.

Compare/Contrast Writing: Places
The purpose of this rubric is to allow the student to know what the expectations are for writing this comparing/contrasting paragraph. This rubric will help me, the teacher, to assess student writing and inform further instruction.The student will compare and contrast two countries finding similarities and differences.
