This rubric has been designed to assess student's on task performance during classroom instruction. Students may gain points. 20 points will replace 1 quiz grade or may be used as extra credit within a 6 week period. This rubric is completed weekly.

This rubric will be used to evaluate how a student works and participates during activities (work, class, meeting, assembly, etc.). I have purposely weighted each criteria this way as I believe this rubric will be fairer to the lower level students that are trying to participate rather than those that are largely unresponsive in class - Fair = 3 and Poor = 1

You will research and present your information about a holiday celebration in a 3 - 5 page research paper using the formatting information presented in our keyboarding text. You are expected to use footnotes for any directly quoted information. Failure to cite a source will result in an automatic zero for plagiarism. You will also write and illustrate or obtain internet pictures about your chosen holiday. • Historical background information • Basic belief system surrounding the holiday • Rituals, services, or ceremonies • Symbolism

This Rubric is a basic design for general participation/active involvement in computer class.
