The student will read a story and then tell the main idea and some of the important details.

Students work in different activities that involve time clocks. Placing the numbers on the clock, positioning the hands of the clock and telling time to the hour and to the half hour.

Students will selecting an animal (bird or mammal) and research the unique characteristics about this animal. Students will writing about their animal, and design a presentation to aid them when sharing the traits of their animal. The presentation should tell about where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, what special adaptations allow the animal to survive in it's native habitat, and why they choose the animal. Students should be prepared to answer questions about their animal from their peers.

Students will create their own fictional story using story elements.

Students will write an origianl Dr. Seuss-type story.
