Students research a sport or activity they are interested in a present the objective of the sport, the history of the sport, the rules of the sport, what they find interesting about the sport, the benefits of the sport, and the risks of the sport. They will then select a presentation format to share their learning.

The Educational Reflection allow students the opportunity to think about their experiences and gather the learning from their experiences. Students explore situations and think about "the learning" that they got from their experiences. Through reflection, students explore problems and solutions encountered during their work, and connect their experiences to their learning goals. Reflections are an important part of the feedback loop between the student and their teacher. Therefore, sharing the learning with the teacher in a timely manner, allows the teacher to offer formative guidance through timely responses to the reflection. This feedback is an important part of student learning.

Students will fabricate a picture frame. The base will be shaped and formed from either brass or aluminum sheet. The frame will be cut, bent, and polished from acrylic.

Students will use the milling machine and surface grinder to square a block of steel, and then use brazing technology to deposit decorative brass weld beads. Students will add a pen holder attachment, preferably designed and manufactured by the student.

Students will design a garden ornament and then use material separating, forming, and arc welding processes to fabricate it.

Students will create a plaque with their name or initials on the CNC router. Students will GCode program the image manually, determining the coordinates by sketching or by using a CAD software.

Students will use the machine lathe and milling machine to manufacture a salt shaker from aluminum and a pepper shaker from brass.
