Grading rubric for 5th grade Glogster book report poster

The student will create a Diorama which includes a favorite scene in the book and an oral report describing the scene they chose (setting, important characters, how/why the scene was important to the plot), tell about the elements in their diorama and how they are related to the scene.

This book report will contain multiple paragraphs and will be limited to one page. Student name, date and block should appear in upper right corner of the page. First: The report should include the title and author of the book and a complete description of the main characters. Second: Descriptive Settings should be included (When and where did the story takes place?). Third: The main events should be included (What happened in the story?). Fourth: Why did you like or dislike the book? Fifth: Would you recommend this book to other fifth graders. Sixth: The report should include a summary of the author's overall message and/or the theme of the book. 4-EP, 3-SP, 2-LP, 1-PA

Students will create a poster containing an illustration of 8 vocabulary words. Each illustration will be accompanied by a sentence description.

Student will write a Native American article based on research the student has conducted. The article must include the 5 paragraphs, three being 3.8 paragraph format for body paragraphs.

AR test and Power Point

Student will assess their behavior and responsilbity based on the FLASH rules.
