Each group will make a presentation about the given topics about Mexico. 1-Geography 2-Religion 3-Government 4-Economy

The students will research and put together a poster presentation about World War II. The presentation will contain information and pictures that the students collected regarding information about World War II. The oral presentation must be aligned with their information and pictures on their posters. In total, the student should have ten facts that will provide their classmates a better understanding of why World War II was fought, who was involved in the War, and what the effects of World War II were on the United States. Each of the ten facts should have at least one picture to represent it on the poster.

The student will create an Civil War ABC fact book by writing about and illustrating a Civil War fact for each letter of the alphabet.

Students select information from a specific unit in history content and create a trivia game.

Students research president and present their findings.

Students journal entries will be graded in concordance with the following guidelines.

Using your personal experiences, you will create a timeline of your life. You must include at least 1 event per year. You will use several illustrations or photos to help identify these special events. Your timeline must be organized, neat and accurate.

Students to find three sources of information about a local event/person/location. All of the sources must be primary. A maximum of two sources can be electronic.

Students will read and analyze historical documents pertaining to the event know as the Trail of Tears. Students will pretend they are a US soldier assigned to lead these people on their journey. Students will then write a detailed letter home to their famlies describing who was being moved, when and where they where being moved to, why they where forced off their homeland, the consequences of the Trail of Tears, and the overall treatment of the Native Americans. Students should include at least one specific event to illustrate the mistreatment of the natives during the journey westward. Students will also reflect on their understanding of the reading and their effort on the assessment (Letter).

Students are to complete a current event report using the following rubric.

Read a press release about the Louisiana Purchase, and then work in small groups to write questions to ask "Thomas Jefferson" at a press conference. You will then participate in a press conference with "Thomas Jefferson", and summarize your findings in a short front page news story.

You are going to create a play. Your play will be based on one topic from the War of 1812 as covered on pages 155-158. Your play must explain the topic completely covering main ideas, at least two key players ( these may be people or countries) and be at least 3 minutes long.
