Anne Frank Writing Piece

Task: To creating a timeline for the life of Anne Frank. This activity is designed for the intermediate to the advanced student.

Task: Students are asked to read novels independently at or above their Lexile level. They must meet the require 25 novels for the year by NYC. 100 pages equals one novel for record keeping and as to not discourage students from reading longer books.

Task: To create/present a CSI PROFILE of a ___________________ from the Middle Ages based on historic evidence from various texts using a beginning, middle, end-grahic organizer, aconflict from the period, ex plague, Crusade, Viking attack.., a emotional analysis wheel, a first draft and edit session, and finally to write a well written story in paragraph form.

Choose a profession from the Middle Ages, write a page in your journal pretending you lived then. Cover page should include a picture of you in the garments you would have worn. Research things such as where and how you lived. Include things like: residence, things you would eat, clothing, social status- money/position, type of things you may be involved with-war, church, plague... Write at least 3 paragraphs using chronological order.

Choose a landmark/attraction from the Ancient Greece or Rome. Create a postcard showing this place with you there. On the back, write and address your postcard to your parents, telling them about this place you've "visited" (2 paragraphs).
