Teapots; Slab construction Ceramics
The student will: 1. Select, research, and write a description of one of Steve Hansen's teapots 2. Create sketches of several possible designs that illustrate the characteristics of Steve Hansen's teapots 3. Select the design/imagery that best communicates the characteristics of Steve Hansen's teapots 4. Create a teapot with inspiration from Steve Hansen 5. Sketch the imagery to be used on the teapot within sketchbook 6. Paint the surface of the teapot to achieve a metal finish look 7. Assess the success of the the teapot using the defined criteria 8. Write an artist statement/label that includes a description of the teapot and an explanation of the sculpture design
