Rubric: French 2 - Video Project
This rubric is designed for a French video presentation performance assessment in which the students will be presenting vocabulary and grammar concepts from the entire year. Their video must have two parts: La Vocabularie in which they present the important vocabulary in a creative way. La Vie in which they present a dialogue demonstrating their understanding of the vocabulary and grammar points covered in the chapters in addition to any previous knowledge they have from French 1. Students are being graded both individually and as a group. The skit must be videotaped and either handed to the teacher in DVD format or posted on YouTube by ________________.

Students will create a "French video" that will be 5 to 7 minutes in length. A soap-opera, product, movie trailer, etc. The video must include each partner speaking 200 words of French. French Menu
Create a menu for a French cafe or restaurant. Must create a French name for the restaurant or cafe. Should include foods, beverages, and appropriate prices in Euros. Correct grammar is a must. The student will include; (4) four appetizers, (6) six entrees, and (4) four desserts. The menu you must be creative and well done.

Imaginery astrological sign poster
At the end of the lessons on how to say "I like to", "I love to", etc. and personality traits through astrology, students have been asked, working individually, to select AT LEAST five traits from a handout of the 12 traditional astrological signs that describe them best to create a sign unique to them, give it a name, and create a symbol for it. They were encouraged to write a short paragraph following the model of the handout which describe the sign in a more fluid, detailed fashion, for bonus marks.

Performance Assessment Debate
The rubric assesses an upper level Spanish debate about Bullfighting. It includes the oral debate, written notes on the debate, and written paper stating the student's opinion supported by facts.
