Feature Article Rubric
Students will write a feature article based outside resources. The resources must come from approved data bases or be approved my Ms. Buckley or Ms. Fundeling. Articles will demonstrate a clear understanding of the feature writing format and the ability to answer a question with supporting details. The article will be designed using codes and conventions of newspapers and/or magazines.

Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry Central Idea
Students are to create a timeline using by hand or using an online interactive timeline creator such as Capzles (capzles.com) concerning important events from their book. There should be no less than 10 events on the timeline. Students are to include either a picture, photo, video, or audio file for each event that they believe represents the event on their timeline. Each event is to have a brief explanation of its importance along with the picture.
